While our marine biologist was on leave during October, the Ocean Paradise Dive Centre continued with our initiatives. Satoko, our Dive Center base leader has gathered a big team of volunteers, who successfully cleaned our house reef. Very successfully indeed, since the volunteers found very little rubbish.
This means our house reef is much cleaner than when we first started reef cleaning in March. The big group of 14 participants only gathered a few kg of rubbish. We will focus on the reef close to our neighboring island next month. If you are a scuba diver, and you are at Gili Lankanfushi during the first Sunday of the month, make sure you join us on this complimentary event !
