Just as every month, hosts and guests at Gili Lankanfushi undertook the Reef Cleaning activity last Sunday. After a 45 minute dive at the One Palm Island Reef, we surfaced with 15kg of rubbish, composed mainly of fishing line, plastic bottles and aluminum cans – all of these seem to be a big problem in the Maldives (judging from our findings during reef cleanups).
