Coral Type: Bushy

Coral species: Acropora nasuta

Update, April 2021: nine colonies from this line have been transplanted to a bommie in the Gili Lankanfushi lagoon. This is a naturally occurring underwater structure and the resident marine biologists think it may be an old coral that is potentially thousands of years old, but that has died and now functions as the perfect substrate for our transplants. The nine colonies are now part of an ecosystem that provides essential functions such as food and habitat for the diverse marine life in the Maldives.
