Date created: 6 January, 2015

Coral Type: Digitate

Coral species: Acropora tenuis

2017 update: The fragments came from the same donor colony as those for line 067. This line was more affected than 067 during the bleaching event of 2016 which resulted in some mortality.  Luckily, many of the colonies on this line recovered entirely from the bleaching, and have been growing beautifully.

June, 2021 update: the remaining 8 colonies have grown to a considerable size and have been transplanted to the natural reef and now form an integral part of the Maldives’ marine environment. This was an especially important line to transplant since these colonies survived the 2016 mass coral bleaching event. After planting, the wrasses and groupers immediately came over to inspect their home improvements!
