This coral line was transplanted to our reefs on 15th September 2020. During the first year of this line it suffered from bleaching due to the 2016 El Nino event which caused many fragments to die. However, after the temperature of the water decreased to normal levels the surviving fragments grew very well. This survival data was also important for us to determine the suitability of coral species and their resilience to heat related stress events.
