Coral species: Acropora sp.
The sudden decrease in survival after this line was planted was caused by the 2016 El Nino event. This event hit us in April/May and increased the sea surface temperature which is detrimental to coral survival. This line has just 1 living fragment left, which we consider lucky. We hope this fragment will continue to grow where it can eventually be used to help re-seed our house reef, which was significantly damaged during this event.
