Coral species: Acropora species
This line was transplanted back to the natural reef in May 2021. The line was initially made in 2016 which was the year of the El Nino event; heating even which caused corals to bleach and die nation wide. Although this line suffered high mortality during that time, the remaining fragments grew well and were somehow resistant to the warming event. We hope they will help to make our reefs more resilient in the future!
