Message: celebrating the little big efforts around the world with our 300th coral line! This is a milestone since the inception of the project in 2014. While the coral nursery has suffered during the 2016 mass coral bleaching event that killed 72% of shallow waters across the Maldives, many lines survived! This means that the corals we currently have in the nursery are descendants from the colonies that survived, which demonstrates increased resilience. We hope that they will spawn in the future and continue to reseed the reefs around Gili Lankanfushi.
