Note: The graph shows negative growth, which is bizarre. The most likely explanation is fish predation. These fish bites are not killing the coral frags though, only shortening them. We suspect it is one of the reasons why the Monitpora growing on our reef naturally is quite stunted with many branchlets- the fish crop off any longer branches. We will continue to monitor the line, but we are not worried, as the fragments seem healthy and many more branches have started to grow, even if it means the diameter is not any bigger!
