On World Oceans Day 2017, Gili Lankanfushi opened its new Marine Biology Shack, ‘Gili Veshi’, which translated from the Dhivehi language means Gili’s Environment.

Preserving coral reefs is a growing concern in the Maldives.  At Gili Lankanfushi, we are recovering our coral reefs through the Coral lines Project.

Following the mass bleaching event of 2016, it is important to understand what coral bleaching is, and what the consequences are for the reef, as well as for our nursery.
