Support, Strength & Solidarity at Gili Lankanfushi

For several years, Gili Lankanfushi has observed October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, joining hands with a non-profit partner to raise awareness and support for the cause.

This year, we continue this heartfelt tradition in partnership with the Cancer Society of Maldives (CSM). Guests are invited to take part in a series of thoughtful, inspiring and light-hearted activities; all in support of a meaningful mission.

Wear Your Heart in Pink

• Throughout the month, our hosts will be wearing pink ribbons as a quiet yet powerful gesture of solidarity
• You’ll find pink ribbons available at our weekly Management Cocktail

Sunset in Pink

Slip into something rosy and join us for a special Pink October edition of our Management Cocktail. Expect warm company, soft island breezes, and a Pink October Booth where you can discover ways to participate.

Force of Life Letters

Write a note of hope and encouragement. Guests and hosts alike are invited to pen uplifting messages to breast cancer patients as part of our goal to collect 100 letters. These will be shared both locally and internationally to spread strength and positivity.

Donation at Check-out

Throughout October, guests will have the option to make a donation in support of the Cancer Society of Maldives. Every contribution, big or small, helps fuel cancer awareness and patient support initiatives across the country. A symbolic gesture will be made on your behalf to honour your donation – details to be revealed on the island.


Pink Wellness Day (World Mental Health Day)

In honor of World Mental Health Day (October 10), we’re hosting a serene wellness activity open to all. Take time to unwind, reflect, and recharge. Location and time to be announced.

Pink October Fun Run/Walk

Support breast cancer awareness by joining our sunset fun run/walk, part of a nationwide event for the Cancer Society of Maldives. Enjoy the scenic route across Palm Beach and the jetties. Limited edition bibs and t-shirts will be available in support of the cause. Date and time to be announced.

Splash for a Cause!

Our most anticipated and joy-filled event returns! Jump from the Overwater Bar deck and make a splash for charity. Donations of any amount are welcome and all proceeds will benefit the Cancer Society of Maldives.
